Augmentin and Amoxicillin are two different types of antibiotics used for both animals and humans. These antibiotics help in treating bacterial infections that can place in any form in the body. Although both these antibiotics are common, the result may vary according to the infection the person's face. Augmentin contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanate or clavulanic acid, making it more effective. Both this fall under the penicillin drug class falling into the group of similar common antibiotics.

Augmentin contains Amoxicillin, as the primary ingredient, and it contains Clavulanate. Clavulanate can help treat infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria. It is important to note that these types of drugs don't work on viral infections
