Riverside Vets, founded in 1981, holds a significant place in the history of veterinary care in Livingston, being the first clinic in the area. The practice quickly became a trusted resource for the local community, providing essential animal healthcare. In 1986, Mandy joined the Riverside Vets team, followed by Graeme in 1992, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the practice. In 2001, when the original owner retired, Mandy and Graeme took the opportunity to purchase the two practices, solidifying their leadership in the business.
Under their ownership, Riverside Vets underwent significant transformation. The couple embarked on a comprehensive renovation programme across both the Livingston and Bathgate locations to modernize the facilities and enhance the care offered to clients and their pets. Notably, the Bathgate practice, which had originally been an old chemist’s premises, required a full rebuild. This involved extensive work to upgrade the space and incorporate state-of-the-art veterinary equipment, ensuring a high standard of care for all animals treated.
Today, Riverside Vets remains a vital part of the local community, combining decades of experience with modern veterinary practices, and continues to provide exceptional care for pets in the Livingston and Bathgate areas.
